MICHAEL C. STRATOS
Real Estate Acquisitions
Mr. Stratos joined ECAP in 2004 and was made a Principal in January 2007. He has over 25 years of real estate investment and asset management experience and is responsible for working with developers, contractors, and lenders in conjunction with the acquisition of real estate projects throughout the United States. He has structured and analyzed real estate investments that included, but were not limited to, direct ownership, participating mortgages, general or limited partnerships, syndications, joint ventures or other entities to acquire, hold, develop, manage or otherwise deal in real property interests. Since 1983 he has overseen the financial analysis, acquisition, management, and disposition of over $1 billion of real estate. Mr. Stratos’ previous positions include Vice President with The New Boston Fund, Senior Regional Manager with The Union Labor Life Insurance Company, and Regional Acquisitions Manager with United Dominion Realty Trust.
Upon joining ECAP, Mr. Stratos assumed the primary role of identifying and underwriting commercial real estate acquisition for the various Funds managed by ECAP. In this capacity, Mr. Stratos has successfully sourced non-brokered transactions by going into targeted market to more fully understand the local economy and identify successful developers. Mr. Stratos has a B.S. in Finance from American University and has conducted post graduate studies towards his MBA at George Mason University.
